International Journal of Social Robotics Social Robotics is the study of robots that are able to interact and communicate among themselves, with humans, and with the environment, within the social and cultural structure attached to their roles. The very nature of social robotics demands expertise from diverse disciplines. The journal will cover a broad spectrum of topics related to the advanced scientific research results, the latest technologies, and developments in the area of social robotics at all levels, from core technologies, to cognitive and social models, aesthetic design, applications, and social and ethical impact. The journal will publish original, peer reviewed articles and contributions describing technically rigorous scientific and philosophical advances in social robots, and their interactions and communications with humans, especially innovative ideas and concepts, new discoveries and improvements, as well as novel applications on the latest fundamental advances in the core technologies that form the backbone of social robotics, distinguished developmental projects, as well as seminal works in aesthetic design, ethics and philosophy, studies on social impact and
influence pertaining to social robotics, and its interaction and communication with human beings and its social impact on our society. The journal aims to provide an overview of the current state of the social robotics field, how the field and related technologies are set to evolve in the future, and their impact on society at large. It provides a common platform for researchers to share their forefront research and the latest developments in social robotics, as well as interactions with human beings and integration into our society, built on relevant advances in engineering, mechatronics, biomechatronics, robotics, computer sciences, cognitive sciences, affective sciences, arts, social sciences, and philosophy, and act as an international forum for all issues within the editorial focus.
