  • The journal normally suggests that the AE sends the review invitations to 5 reviewers so as to prevent delays and to ensure the quality of the paper.

2. How many days shall be given to the reviewer?

  • The reviewers have 30 days to return their review.

3. How do I check the status or history of the paper?

  • The AE can log into the Editor Manager (EM) and view the paper’s details, status, and history.

4. What should I do after the reviews are received?

  • The AE can log into the EM system and submit his/her recommendation to the EIC.
  • AEs are also expected to provide an editorial report to the authors, which include their own assessment of the manuscript in addition to the comments of the reviewers.

5. How is the submission handled? Where should the authors upload their paper into the journal submission system?

  • Springer will help set up a Guest Editors’ account at the Editorial Manager System (http://www.editorialmanager.com/soro/).
