IJSR FAQ for Associate Editors (AEs)
1. How many reviewers shall be invited?
- It is necessary to secure three reviews for each paper. However, if the AE finds that the two received reviews are sufficient, the AE can recommend a decision to the Editor-In-Chief (EIC), plus AE’s own reading.
- The journal normally suggests that the AE sends the review invitations to 5 reviewers so as to prevent delays and to ensure the quality of the paper.
2. How many days shall be given to the reviewer?
- The reviewers have 30 days to return their review.
3. How do I check the status or history of the paper?
- The AE can log into the Editor Manager (EM) and view the paper’s details, status, and history.
4. What should I do after the reviews are received?
- The AE can log into the EM system and submit his/her recommendation to the EIC.
- AEs are also expected to provide an editorial report to the authors, which include their own assessment of the manuscript in addition to the comments of the reviewers.
